JLPT N3 pass mark: 95/180

To pass N3 you need a total of at least 95 out of 180 AND every section at or above its minimum. Miss one section and the whole test fails.

Section minimums

Language Knowledge (Vocabulary/Grammar) — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.
Reading — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.
Listening — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.

Worth repeating: N3's pass mark (95) is higher than N2's (90) — official, and often a surprise.
