ALMIJAPANESE · JLPT N5–N1 PRACTICE

Practise the JLPT with honest readiness — never a fake score.

Real task formats for every level, N5 up to N1 — Language Knowledge, Reading and Listening, the three skills the JLPT actually tests. Because the JLPT uses scaled (IRT) scoring no simulator can replicate, we show your raw performance and an honest readiness estimate against each level's real pass mark and section minimums — not an invented number.

Overall vs the N3 pass mark (95/180): 98122 range (ABOVE)

This is a readiness estimate, not a prediction. JLPT uses scaled (IRT) scoring we do not replicate, so your official N3 score will differ. Passing N3 requires BOTH a total of at least 95/180 AND every section at or above its minimum — one section under fails the whole test regardless of total.

An honest readiness gauge, not artificial flattery.

The official Japanese-Language Proficiency Test does not calculate your score by adding up correct answers. It uses Item Response Theory (IRT) scaling, where each question's statistical difficulty shapes the result. Any simulator that hands you an exact scaled number is guessing — and dressing the guess up as your score.

AlmiJapanese treats you with more respect than that. We track your performance down to exact raw counts across vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening, then show you plainly whether you are clearing each section's required floor and how you stand against your level's real pass mark.

Train the three sections the JLPT actually tests.

Language Knowledge and Reading are auto-marked for instant feedback; Listening uses clear, natural generated audio so every item plays consistently, once — just like test day.

Pick your target level for full-length practice at the real time limits. One honest detail most sites miss: N3's pass mark (95) is higher than N2's (90)— that's official, and our practice reflects it.

N5 · pass 80/180Basic Japanese foundation: essential grammar patterns, hiragana, katakana, and foundational kanji.
N4 · pass 90/180Everyday basics: standard daily conversations and slow-paced descriptive text.
N3 · pass 95/180The bridge level: everyday Japanese at near-natural speed. Yes — its pass mark is higher than N2's.
N2 · pass 90/180The level universities and employers most often reference: broader reading, essays, natural-speed discussion.
N1 · pass 100/180Command of complex, abstract Japanese: dense texts and highly articulate speech.

Honest practice built around how the test actually scores you.

True section-floor tracking

Passing the JLPT requires BOTH clearing the total pass mark AND meeting every section's minimum — fail one section and the whole test fails, whatever your total. Results label each section CLEAR / BORDERLINE / BELOW.
