JLPT N1 pass mark: 100/180

To pass N1 you need a total of at least 100 out of 180 AND every section at or above its minimum. Miss one section and the whole test fails.

Section minimums

Language Knowledge (Vocabulary/Grammar) — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.
Reading — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.
Listening — scored 0–60, minimum 19/60.
